About Us
PASTORS ENRIQUE AND PATTY SALDAÑA
The Eben-Ezer Restoration Ministry was born in the heart of God Almighty, who placed this calling upon the hearts of Pastors Enrique and Patty Saldaña after they had fasted and sought God's direction for their lives and ministry.
After several days of fasting and prayer, the Almighty God gave Pastor Saldaña the ministry's name and a specific calling for restoration based on Isaiah 58:12, "Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings." The name "Eben-Ezer" was chosen following a spiritual battle in which God granted us victory through 1st book of Samuel 7:12, "Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, 'Thus far the Lord has helped us.'" It was there that the Lord provided the name and calling—EBEN-EZER RESTORATION MINISTRY—which began on June 21, 1999.
The Eben-Ezer Restoration Ministry was born in the city of Bryan, Texas, on June 21, 1999, with its first service held in Pastor Saldaña’s mobile home alongside his family. We were obeying God’s call upon our lives and a mission to fulfill in the cities of Bryan and College Station, Texas—and wherever else our Almighty God might choose to lead us.
A call to preach a message of power in the name that is above every name—the name of Jesus—to restore lives and be anointed by the glorious Holy Spirit in order to fulfill God’s purpose for every life. To this day, we can say "Ebenezer"—thus far the Lord has helped us—and we trust in our God that He will continue to lead us from glory to glory, from triumph to triumph, and from victory to victory. We believe that God’s call for the Eben-Ezer Restoration Ministry is to make history in our cities and, above all, to ensure that the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus is exalted. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for Your trust in us—my family and everyone who is part of the Eben-Ezer Restoration Ministry. Amen.
Vision of Evangelism
1) To reach the lost through the Christ-centered message (preaching Jesus). Our primary vision is to preach sound doctrine (Titus 2:1)—the Gospel—by every possible means (evangelism, house-to-house outreach, crusades, conferences, radio, television, the Internet, and events for youth, women, and men), just as the Apostle Paul states in Romans 15:19, "by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ."
2) Eben-Ezer Restoration Ministry believes in formal membership; therefore, our vision is for every visitor to become an active member—committed to God, the church, and others—rather than someone who attends a different church each Sunday. To this end, we offer a new members' class, as we seek to have every visitor become part of the Eben-Ezer family (Ephesians 2:19 and Hebrews 10:25).
Vision of Spiritual Formation
3) Our vision is the spiritual formation of every believer, enabling them to reach their potential and discover the purpose God has for their lives. To this end, we offer discipleship classes across three levels, culminating in a class on spiritual maturity—in accordance with 2 Timothy 3:17, "so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
4) Our vision is for every believer to have a personal experience with God through the Holy Spirit. To this end, we hold glorious services filled with God's presence, featuring praise centered on Christ Jesus—inspiring direct worship of our God and bringing about an outpouring of the Holy Spirit through various manifestations, healings, wonders, signs, and miracles, as described in Acts 2:17–18.
Vision of Restoration
5) Our vision is for every person reached to be restored and to live a new life in Christ—becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus, set apart from worldly things and serving the true God. God’s blessed Word tells us to walk in newness of life. We cannot serve two masters, nor can fresh water and salt water flow from the same source; for the Bible teaches in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
Our vision is to reach, restore, equip, and train every person in our city to have a life-transforming encounter with the Holy Spirit and to bear the spiritual fruit of a renewed life—serving as a light to this lost world. The result is a genuine Christian, set apart from sin, who is able to reproduce by reaching others.
